I am a full time scientist and part-time potter. I live in New York City and I am originally from Slovenia. I started making pots in 2013 and I have been addicted to working with clay ever since.
Skleda pottery is a project that stemmed from my wish to create something actual, physical and useful. Skleda is a Slovene word that I like and it is also easy to pronounce. The word means 'pot' or 'container' and is usually something you put food in. While most of my pots are indeed pieces that can hold food, I like the name also because this project is my 'container', something into which I put a lot of myself and a lot of my time.
